Naples Spaghetti House is a family favorite. It was established in 1923 and has been a local staple ever since. It’s a “no-frills” just good food, kind of restaurant.
Steubenville also is home to DiCarlo’s Original Pizza Co. This restaurant is all about pizza and locals have been loving ordering crispy, cheesy slices since 1945.
Steubenville is surrounded by great food options. Another option is if you cross the river or go a little further east, you’ll find a multitude of different restaurants to satisfy your taste buds.
Outdoors
Steubenville Heritage Trail is a wonderful option for those wanting to hike or to bike. It’s a 4- mile trail that goes between Beatty Park and Bellevue Park. You can pick up a map in the Visitor Center.
You will also find The Panhandle trail head starting in a nearby city- Weirton, This trail eventually will take you all the way to Washington D.C, and is part of rails to trails which prior to using these routes as trails for walkers/runners/bikers were railroads.
In a nearby town, Hookstown, PA, you will find Racoon Creek State Park. Many locals visit here because it is only about 14 miles away. You can hike, explore the mineral springs, fish, camp, hunt, or meander through the wildflower reserve.
If you enjoy golfing there are a good bit of options to choose from in the area. Most are just a short drive from Steubenville.
Being located near the Ohio River, Steubenville has quite the options for fishing. There are fishing spots up and down the riverbanks as well as fishing at nearby parks such as Jefferson Lake State Park and Fernwood State Forest.
